Taylor Testa promoted to Vice President, A&R, at Universal Music Publishing Group

Taylor Testa has been promoted to Vice President, A&R, at Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).

Based in Santa Monica, she will continue reporting to David Gray and Walter Jones, Co-Heads of A&R.

Testa works closely with many of UMPG’s writers and artists, including Zedd, Kid Harpoon, Kenny Beats, Matt Maeson, Chelsea Cutler, Royal & the Serpent, Skylar Grey, Zhu, Simon Wilcox, Madeon, Jimmy Napes, Gryffin, and more.

Previously at UMPG, Testa worked as Director of A&R.

Testa is also Songwriting Co-Chair and Los Angeles Chapter Head for She Is The Music (SITM), where she leads all-women writing camps.

Over the past year, she has worked on SITM initiatives such as ‘Girls Around the World’ international virtual camp and SITM’s first UK camp – ‘Next Up Producer’ – alongside FRED and Kamille to mentor women producers.

Before joining UMPG, Testa worked in A&R roles at Virgin Records, Sony/ATV and Epic Records.

She is also a member of the Future Hope Core Committee for City of Hope.

Testa’s new role follows the recent promotion of Natasha Baldwin to Executive Vice President, Classics and Screen.

UMPG also announced an exclusive, global publishing agreement with Lionel Richie on November 4.
