The Official Charts Company is the owner of the UK’s longest-serving music charts: The Official Albums Chart and the Official Singles Chart.
The company is half-owned by UK record companies (via a 50% stake owned by the BPI) and half owned by UK retailers and digital services (via a 50% stake owned by the Entertainment Retailers Association).
