HYBE posted the deposit as part of its request for a stay of enforcement to delay payment until the ruling is finalized, Korea JoongAng Daily reported.
The tax probe comes amid a broader crackdown targeting 27 companies and individuals suspected of tax evasion totaling about 1 trillion South Korean won.
The new venture follows HYBE’s recent success with KATSEYE, their first global girl group launched in partnership with Universal Music Group’s Geffen Records
