Spotify turns a playlist brand into a concert series with RapCaviar Live

RapCaviar, the Spotify playlist which boasts over 7m followers, is going live.

In tandem with Live Nation, Spotify is launching a six-date US hip-hop concert series called RapCaviar Live ‘featuring the heaviest hitters and hottest emerging artists in rap’.

According to official Spotify stats from the end of last year, RapCaviar is the company’s second biggest global playlist behind Today’s Top Hits.

The RapCaviar Live series will kick off in Atlanta at a concert featuring Gucci Mane (pictured), along with Mike WiLL Made it plus special guests.

The August 12 show will take place at The Tabernacle, with tickets on sale Friday, June 30 via Ticketmaster.

Other upcoming RapCaviar Live tour cities include Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto. Additional dates, artists and venues will be announced soon.

Beginning Tuesday, June 27, special pre-sale tickets will be available to special Spotify Superfans, Citi Cardmembers and through both LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com.Music Business Worldwide
