Spotify launches in Germany

Spotify has officially launched in Germany, the world’s third biggest recorded music market by value.

Germany becomes the 13th territory in which Spotify has launched. As usual, the service offers locals three pricing tiers:

Spotify Free: Free, on-demand access to millions of songs, interuppted by advertising.

Spotify Unlimited: ad-free access to Spotify on desktop computer but not on mobile, for 4.99EUR a month.

Spotify Premium: access to all the music on Spotify, ad free. Users can listen online, offline, on their computer, their mobile phone and more. Premium costs 9.99EUR per month.

Spotify is well established in other parts of Europe including the UK and home country Sweden, but has remained outside Germany since its launch in 2008. It officially added the United States to its network in July 2011.Music Business Worldwide
