Virtual DJ users can now stream and mix music directly from SoundCloud with new integration

SoundCloud has rolled out a new DJ performance software integration with Virtual DJ.

The integration enables creators to stream and mix music from SoundCloud’s catalog in high-quality audio using a SoundCloud Go+ premium consumer subscription.

Today’s news follows SoundCloud’s first DJ performance software launch with Serato in December 2018.

The company promises additional launches with DEX3, Native Instruments, Mixvibes and Hercules later this year.

To build mixes with Virtual DJ, you’ll need to download and log into Virtual DJ 8 online and enable SoundCloud within Virtual DJ 8, then log in using a SoundCloud Go+ premium subscription username and password.

After restarting the Virtual DJ 8 application, you should be able to access saved SoundCloud playlists, search, mix and stream from SoundCloud’s catalog, live.

SoundCloud Go+ offers over 200 million tracks from more than 20m creators, with offline sync, no advertising, and high-quality audio streaming.

A standalone SoundCloud Go+ subscription costs $9.99/€9.99 per month, but the platform rolled out a discounted student offer last month at $4.99/€4.99 per month.

SoundCloud also offers a bundle for DJs that includes a subscription to its upload offering SoundCloud Pro Unlimited and SoundCloud Go+  for $16.99/month.

In February SoundCloud launched a new distribution feature that allows artists to distribute their music to rival streaming services.Music Business Worldwide
