SoundCloud has hired Josh Nicoll as its new Head of Independent Label Services, MBW can reveal.
In his new role, London-based Nicoll will support existing relationships and expand SoundCloud’s connections throughout the music industry with a focus on indie partners.
He will report to Lisa Ellis, who recently joined SoundCloud as Global Head of Music, Artist Relations and Label Services.

Josh joins SoundCloud from independent label/distributor [PIAS] where he delivered successful campaigns for a diverse roster that included Flume, Editors, Father John Misty, Sophie, Nilufer Yanya, Circa Waves, and Two Door Cinema Club
Nicoll has previously worked on campaigns for the likes of Disclosure, Sam Smith, Lianne La Havas, Justice, and Metronomy.
He started his career at Universal Music working on campaigns for artists including Justin Bieber, Pixie Lott, The Killers, and StereophonicsMusic Business Worldwide
