SoundCloud CFO Holly Lim exits, joins streaming audio service TuneIn

Live streaming and on-demand audio service TuneIn has appointed Holly Lim as Chief Financial Officer.

The news comes little over a year after Lim joined SoundCloud as CFO from her prior role at Google.

Lim was tasked with “maintaining SoundCloud’s financial health and capitalising on new opportunities for growth”.

Since Lim arrived at SoundCloud, of course, the firm’s CEO Alexander Ljung has vacated his role, replaced by former Vimeo boss Kerry Trainor.

It’s also sold a majority $169.5m stake to global merchant bank The Raine Group and Singapore-headquartered investment company Temasek.

TuneIn offers users a collection of sports, music, news, podcasts, and audiobooks — including live, on-demand and original content.

In her new role with the company, Lim will oversee finance, legal, HR, workplace and corporate development.

“We’re thrilled to add Holly to the executive team.”

She will be based in San Francisco at TuneIn Headquarters.

“We’re thrilled to add Holly to the executive team,” said John Donham, TuneIn CEO.

“Holly’s experience in consumer subscription services, entertainment, and original content uniquely qualify her to join our team and help drive our business forward.”

“TuneIn has built an impressive team with incredibly high ambitions,” said Lim.

“I am joining the company at an exciting time – TuneIn has built a unique position in the audio space through its bold content acquisitions, core growth in listeners & subscribers, and the global reach of its offering.”

Prior to SoundCloud, Lim held prior senior finance and operations roles at Google, Stetson, Comedy Central & New Line Cinema.
