Sony/ATV signs worldwide deal with Becky Hill

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a worldwide deal with British singer and songwriter Becky Hill.

After appearing as a contestant on The Voice UK in 2012, Hill has established herself as a successful songwriter and vocalist.

She’s worked alongside artists including Rudimental, Wilkinson, MNEK and Oliver Heldens.

New solo material will be released independently later this year—Hill was previously signed as a recording artist to Warner label Parlophone.

She’s managed by Alex Martin (pictured, right) of AM Music/Crown Talent Group.

“We have admired Becky’s talent for some time as an artist and writer. We’re thrilled we can finally join her on this journey.”

After finishing in the semi-finals of The Voice, Hill featured on Rudimental’s Mercury and Brits-nominated UK No.1 album Home.

She co-write and featured on the track Powerless and went on to perform with the band during their 2013 festival appearances at Glastonbury, Bestival, Wakestock and Lovebox.

Hill then co-wrote and featured on Wilkinson’s 2013 UK Top 10 hit Afterflow.

The following summer she debuted at No.1 on the UK Official Singles Chart with Oliver Heldens and MNEK track Gecko (Overdrive), which has since been certified platinum.

Since then, Hill has scored further success as both a writer and recording artist with acts including Matoma and MK.

Her late 2016 single Warm, co-written with Sony/ATV-signed Shift K3Y, garnered support from BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

Hill’s new single Rude Love was released at the end of March and produced by MNEK and Dimitri Tikovoi.

She’ll be embarking on a headline UK tour later this year.
