Independent UK music company Minds On Fire has signed a new partnership with Sony Music Publishing (SMP).

The deal will see SMP provide worldwide administration services for Minds On Fire’s catalog and roster of songwriters and producers.

The agreement also establishes a joint venture between the two companies to collaborate on future writer signings.

Founded and run by James Pitt and Simon Harris, Minds On Fire represents a roster of artists and writers including Rob Harvey (whose credits include Clean Bandit, Joel Corry, David Guetta, and Becky Hill), Tom Havelock, and a range of electronic and dance music artists such as Kolter, Obskür, Joe Ashworth, Objekt, Alan Fitzpatrick, Carlita, and Sasha, alongside the New Young Pony Club catalog.

Commenting on the deal, Simon Harris, Director of Minds On Fire, said: “This partnership enables us to offer our writers an expansive global network of support and opportunities, while maintaining Minds On Fire’s hands-on approach to creativity and collections.”

David Ventura, President & Co-Managing Director, UK, SVP International, Sony Music Publishing, added: “We have long followed the achievements of Minds On Fire, as a boutique company helmed by two great entrepreneurs – James and Simon.
