Sony Music and Todd Moscowitz launch new artist and label services company, Santa Anna

Sony Music Entertainment (SME) and Todd Moscowitz, Founder and CEO of Alamo Records, have launched a new artist and label services company called Santa Anna.

SME says in a press release that the new company “will support entrepreneurs and assist artists in maximizing their creative potential and build their businesses”.

Based in New York, Santa Anna will be led by Lee L’Heureux.

He will also hold the newly created role of President of Alamo Records, reporting to Moscowitz.

The launch of the new company comes a year-and-a-half after Sony Music Entertainment bought a majority stake in Moscowitz’s Alamo Record for a nine-figure sum.

SME’s Alamo deal came in the same six-month period that saw Sony Music acquire the likes of J.Irving’s Human Re-Sources, as well as Kobalt‘s AWAL – the latter in a $430 million deal.

New York-based Alamo was founded in 2016 and has broken artists including Blackbear, Lil Durk and Rod Wave.

Most recently, Lee L’Heureux served as General Manager at Geffen Records. Prior to his role there, L’Heureux was Senior Vice President of Rhythm, Urban and Hip-Hop promotion at Warner Records.

L’Heureux will work alongside Moscowitz and Alamo Records’ Chief Operating Officer, Juliette Jones, to support all operations, artist signings, marketing, and business partnerships for the new company.

“I’m excited for Lee to join the team and leverage his experience to create new opportunities for Alamo as well as launch the start of what will be an incredible journey for Santa Anna.”
