Sony/ATV signs global deal with songwriter & producer Claudia Brant

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a global publishing administration agreement with Latin Grammy and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and producer Claudia Brant.

Based in Los Angeles, Brant is a veteran songwriter known for crafting songs in Latin, Regional Mexican, and Pop music.

Her iconic hits include No Me Doy Por Vencido by Luis Fonsi, named one of Billboard’s Latin pop song of the decade, in 2009, and the Latin Grammy winning song Aqui Estoy Yo performed by Luis Fonsi, Noel Schajris, David Bisbal and Aleks Syntek.

Brant has also co-written singles such as Lo Mejor De Mi Vida Eres Tu by Ricky Martin and Natalia Jimenez, Millonario de Amor by Sergio Vega, Mamita by CNCO, and recently, El Lado Izquierdo De La Cama by Natalia Jimenez.

She has also collaborated with top artists Camila Cabello, Fantasia, Fifth Harmony, Ximena Sariñana, Reik, Il Volo, Abraham Mateo, and La Arrolladora Banda El Limon de Rene Camacho, among many others.

Brant and her songs have earned numerous awards, including being named the SESAC Latin Songwriter of the Year three consecutive times, and the ASCAP Latin Songwriter of the Year twice.

She also earned a Latin Grammy for Song of the Year in 2009 and, most recently, a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in 2019 for her singer-songwriter release Sincera. Brant was inducted into the Latin Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2016.

In addition to her ongoing success as a songwriter, artist and producer, Claudia is a National Trustee board member for The Recording Academy (LA Chapter, NARAS) and created ‘Canción de Autor Oficial’, a non-profit organization whose aim is to promote songwriters’ craft, defend songwriters’ rights, and to focus on education and development of musical talent.

In light of the global pandemic, Canción de Autor Oficial teamed up with MusiCares for a live event concert series to raise money for the Covid-19 relief fund, destined for all musicians who have been affected.
