Sony/ATV Nashville signs Gabby Barrett to worldwide deal

Sony/ATV Music Publishing Nashville has signed fast-rising country singer and songwriter Gabby Barrett to a global publishing administration deal.

Barrett is known for her Platinum-certified single I Hope, which was named as one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now,” and was the No.1 streamed country single in the US for three consecutive weeks while rising to No.16 on the Hot 100 chart.

Barrett began singing in a gospel choir at 9 years old, and at age 11 she started traveling around the US and performing hundreds of shows.

After six years of playing to audiences around the country, she was scouted into the national spotlight for ABC’s American Idol, becoming a Top 3 finalist.

Since then, she has had around 260 million streams to-date and has opened for Dierks Bentley, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, Chris Lane, Dustin Lynch, Jake Owen, Bebe Rexha, Cole Swindell, Sugarland, and Carrie Underwood.

Barrett ’s debut album, Goldmine, will be available on June 19 and features her songs The Good Ones, Hall of Fame, and breakout single I Hope, plus collaborations including I Hope featuring Charlie Puth and Got Me featuring Shane & Shane.

Barrett  holds songwriting credits on 12 of the 13 songs on the project, which was co-produced by Sony/ATV’s own Ross Copperman and Zach Kale
