Sony/ATV expands in India, appoints Dinraj Shetty as Director for the market

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has hired Dinraj Shetty as Director, Sony/ATV India.

Dinraj is the first leader of the company’s newly established office in India, located in Mumbai.

He will report to Sony/ATV President, International, Guy Henderson, who is based in London.

As Director, Sony/ATV India, Shetty will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s India office, such as promoting Sony/ATV’s catalog, negotiating worldwide agreements, signing and developing songwriters, and fostering relationships with industry partners including Sony Music Entertainment India and IPRS.

While leading Sony/ATV India in his new position, Shetty will also continue to serve as Director, Licensing at Sony Music, where he has worked for more than twenty years.

Shetty is a well-established figure within the music and entertainment industries in India, with strong relationships across labels, broadcasters, and various digital streaming service providers.

At Sony Music, Dinraj has held various positions including Head of Sales and Retail Promotions, Head of Operations, and Digital Sales & Business Development.

Prior to entering the music industry, Dinraj worked for several top consumer goods organizations such as Godrej, Pernetti Van Melle & Marico.
