SONGS Music Publishing signs worldwide deal with Hudson Mohawke

New York-born independent SONGS Music Publishing has signed Hudson Mohawke, aka Ross Birchard, to a worldwide co-publishing deal.

As a writer/producer, Hudson Mohawke has worked with an array of stars in the studio including Kanye West, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Pusha T and John Legend.

He also co-produced the 2016 Mercury Music Prize-nominated album Hopelessness by Anohni.

At SONGS, he joins a roster which includes Lorde, Miike Snow, X Ambassadors, Barns Courtney and Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd).

Scottish artist and producer Hudson Mohawke is recording artist in his own right. He released his debut album, Butter, in 2009 on Warp Records.

The follow-up album, Lantern, arrived in 2016 – also on Warp.

Kanye West who hired Hudson for his 2012 compilation Kanye West Presents G.O.O.D Music Cruel Summer, and his subsequent albums Yeezus (“I Am a God” and “Blood on the Leaves”) and 2016’s The Life of Pablo (“Famous,” Freestyle 4,” and “FML”).

Hudson Mohawke has also worked with Lil Wayne, Bjork, R. Kelly, Big Sean, Pharrell, Mark Ronson, Future and Rick Ross.Music Business Worldwide
