Carl Stubner’s Shelter Music Group, which partnered with BMG in late 2019, is expanding internationally through a partnership with artist management company AYITA.

According to a media statement, AYITA partners Brett Fischer, David Gray, Harvey Tadman, and Stevie Dreher will now join Shelter’s management team and effectively launch BMG’s entrance into artist management in the UK, with AYITA becoming a division of Shelter Music Group.

The deal adds AYITA’s 31-client roster, increasing Shelter’s number of management clients to a total of 103, overseen by 41 employees with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, and London, helmed by the executive team of Carl Stubner, Brian Harris Frank, and Dino Paredes.

Shelter’s management roster of artists include Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top, the Buddy Holly estate, Godsmack, Seether, Crowded House, A Perfect Circle, Mothica, and others.

In the new deal, AYITA brings clients including Grammy-nominated Australian house producer FISHER, UK chart-topping BRIT-nominated artist 220 Kid, Grammy-nominated electronic music producer and DJ Chris Lake, Grammy-winning electronic music trio NERO, Noizu, Kiss FM’s Majestic, songwriter Autumn Rowe and more.

Earlier this year, Shelter added manager Scott McGhee and his clients, BeXar and Love & Theft, to its Nashville office.

Shelter’s service offerings have expanded to include a record label, Shelter Records, with recent signings ZZ Top, Richard Marx, and Our Lady Peace, as well as a book publishing imprint.

In a joint statement, AYITA’s partners says the deal will “create and maximize global opportunities for our clients,” and that BMG’s additional resources “will yield immediate benefits and immense possibilities for the future.”

In February, Brian Harris Frank was named COO of Shelter Music Group, as part of a series of executive appointments at the artist management company helmed by Carl Stubner.

At the time, BMG said that the moves were “designed to further build scale and structure” following the company’s strategic move into the artist management business.

“we are fortunate not just to be moving forward, but to be growing our company with new high-level managers and clients.”
