Shakira has closed her residency in Madrid, completing 13 shows and drawing more than 700,000 fans to the Spanish capital.
The run took place at Shakira Stadium, a temporary venue, from September 18 to October 12, as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
Shakira has also debuted at No. 1 on Pollstar‘s LIVE75 chart for September, driven by box-office results from the first nine shows of the residency.
Those nine performances sold a combined 452,097 tickets, an average of 50,233 per show, according to Pollstar.
The same nine shows grossed $61.3 million, an average of $6.8 million per night.
Across its full run, the tour has now surpassed 4 million tickets sold and $534.4 million in reported box-office revenue since it launched in February 2025, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
Produced by Live Nation, the tour is the highest-grossing Latin tour of all time, according to the announcement.
Shakira is the bestselling female Latin artist of all time, and in 2021 sold her 145-song publishing catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Fund.
The residency arrived as Latin music generated over $1 billion in US wholesale recorded music revenues in 2025, up 4.2% YoY and outpacing the wider US market.
The tour launched on February 11, 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, and is named after Shakira‘s 2024 album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, released through Sony Music Latin.
Shakira has played Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros 13 times on the tour, selling 724,306 tickets for $84.1 million.
The Madrid run was built around Shakira Stadium, which the announcement said was designed by architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group and seats more than 50,000.
The venue sat at the center of a 185,000-square-meter site the announcement called Macondo Park, in the Iberdrola Music complex in southern Madrid.
Under a program titled Es Latina, the residency added exhibitions, film, literature, fashion, and gastronomy alongside the concerts.
The announcement said the program brought together more than 1,500 artists and performers and more than 400 hours of cultural programming.
Guests across the residency included Dua Lipa, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Maluma, Beéle, Manuel Turizo, Dani Martín, and Bizarrap.
Shakira‘s team said the residency generated an economic impact exceeding $200 million for Madrid.
It said demand for tourism and accommodation outstripped events including Pope Leo XIV‘s visit to the city and Formula 1.
The run marked Shakira‘s first shows in Spain since her 2018 El Dorado World Tour, in a market where recorded music revenues grew 10.4% YoY in the first half of 2025.
The announcement also said the residency set a record for Amazon Music‘s most-watched livestream music performance by a female artist.
Two dates remain on the tour: October 18 at Bishkek Arena in Kyrgyzstan, and a finale on November 28 at the Pyramids of Giza in Cairo.Music Business Worldwide
