Samsung is offering UK buyers of its smartphones – including its new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge models – a free six-month subscription to Google Play Music.

That’s because an almost identical six-month UK promotion was announced with Deezer just over a year ago to promote the previous model of Samsung Galaxy, the S5 – an offer which expired on December 31, 2014.
This time round, Samsung UK has opted not to go with Deezer and instead plumped for Google Play, which offers subscribers a 30 million-song catalogue in addition to a download store and cloud storage locker.
Existing Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners can also get six months free Google Play, as can customers who purchase certain other Samsung handsets (S5, Note 4, or A-Series).
However, those who already own non-S6 Samsung phone and tablets are only eligible for a free three-month Google Play subscription.
(Samsung customers can, if they wish, still choose a three-month free trial with Deezer, which remains a commercial partner of Samsung across Europe.)

The six-month Google Play free subscription offer on the purchase of a Samsung handset (S6, S5, Note 4, and A-Series) is available until September 30th 2015.
