Ruby Chou has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Warner Music Taiwan.

The new role is effective immediately and she will be based in Taipei, reporting to Simon Robson, President of Warner Music Asia.

Chou was previously the Managing Director of Money101 Taiwan, and during her time there turned the financial services company into a household name in the country, hugely growing its revenue and market share in the process.

Her career background is in digital marketing and she’s run teams at several leading agencies working with a range of high-profile brands.

Warner Music Taiwan is home to artists including Barry Chen, Freya Lim, Jam Hsiao and his band Lion, Jess Lee, JJ Lin, Tiger Huang, Trash, Ty, Will Pan and Xiaoyu.

In 2004, she took up a new role at Grandviewer Technology, running the company’s social media campaigns and influencer programmes, as well as directing its broader marketing strategy.

A move to Taipei followed in 2006, when Chou became Business Development Director at Vistagic Advertising. She worked with a huge range of clients, including China Airlines, Just Diamonds and Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After a stint at Apex Communications, Chou joined the Edelman PR & Digital as Head of Consumer and Digital in 2011. She helped bring global brands including eBay, Fiji Water and Spotify into the Taiwanese market.

Chou went on to be appointed as Managing Director of Money101 Taiwan, part of the CompareAsiaGroup, in 2016.
