Rosie Hill joins Atlantic Screen Music as Global Director of Sync

Atlantic Screen Music (ASM) has appointed Rosie Hill as its first Global Director of Sync, ushering in a new chapter for the business following a period of exponential growth.

ASM is best known for its focus on being a commissioner, financier and producer of scores for film and television including latest releases War with Grandpa and The Last Full Measure.

The appointment follows ASM’s joint venture with publisher Reservoir last year to collaborate on a series of score and soundtrack projects.

Hill joins from Sentric Music Group where she held the post of Global Head of Sync for nearly four years.

There she oversaw key syncs with Ford Motors Cars, Halifax Bank, as well as television series including the hit BBC series Normal People and NBC drama This Is Us.

With over two decades experience in music and entertainment, Hill has worked at majors including Warner Chappell and Disney, alongside a key period at independent publisher Imagem (now Concord) whose UK sync team she latterly ran for eight years.

She also sits on the Guild of Music Supervisors Rightsholders committee.

The new appointment will see Hill working across the breadth of the ASM repertoire to develop sync opportunities, partnerships and secondary exploitation initiatives.

The strategy also includes catalog development to identify opportunities for remixes and reinterpretations of some key cues/works, as well as working collaboratively with all Atlantic divisions to develop their roster of talent and actively seek creative initiatives outside of traditional sync environment.

With offices in London and Los Angeles, ASM have commissioned and published over 150 contemporary film scores, by some of the world’s leading composers, including Max Richter, Alexandre Desplat, Tyler Bates, Lorne Balfe and Clinton Shorter.

Notable credits for ASM include Atomic Blonde, Lone Survivor and After.

ASM’s sync department have contributed to Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV shows, including The Grand Tour and The Long Way Up.

As a part of ASM’s strategic growth, the business has also secured a new administration deal with US record label, Fervor Records and now represent the label exclusively for sync in the United Kingdom and Australia, as well as selected other territories.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Atlantic Screen Music team as they continue on a truly exciting trajectory of expansion and development.”
