Raymond Leon Roker joins Amazon Music as Global Head of Editorial

Amazon Music has hired Raymond Leon Roker as its Global Head of Editorial.

The LA-based exec will report to Ryan Redington, Director of Amazon Music and will lead all aspects of Amazon Music’s editorial content strategy across music, video, and voice.

Roker’s appointment follows last year’s departure of Alex Luke, Amazon Music’s former Global Head of Programming and Content Strategy, who joined SiriusXM, as Senior Vice President, Digital Content for both SiriusXM and Pandora.

Roker joins Amazon Music from AEG where he most recently served as Head of AEG Studios, leading content development across music, sports, and facilities.

While at AEG, Roker spent seven years as EIC/Creative Director of the Coachella Valley Music + Arts Festival Live Stream on YouTube, and was an Executive Producer of the 2020 feature documentary, ‘Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert.’

Roker began his career as the co-founder + CEO/Publisher of lifestyle publication URB, known for its early coverage of America’s emerging music scenes through the ’90s and ’00s.
