Hallwood Media, which describes itself as “a full-service artist, writer and producer management company,” has promoted Quinn McGinley to General Manager of its recording division, Hallwood Recordings.
Having joined Hallwood Media in October 2020, McGinley will now be responsible for overseeing all facets of Hallwood Recordings’ operations, including Publishing, Distribution, and Recordings.
“Being a part of something that’s fresh and growing is one of the most beautiful aspects of this industry: it’s the reason we all do what we do. Having watched Hallwood evolve throughout the first three years, I cannot thank Neil Jacobson and the whole Hallwood Team enough for believing in me and a vision. This is just the beginning,” said McGinley about his new position.

Neil Jacobson, founder and CEO of Hallwood Media, also commented on the appointment, saying: “Quinn McGinley’s promotion to General Manager of our Label and publishing operation is a testament to his outstanding leadership and dedication to the success of Hallwood Recordings.”
His musical instincts are unparalleled, and his incredible charm and kindness have won the hearts of everyone he encounters,” Jacobson added.
McGinley’s promotion marks the latest development in a series of changes within Hallwood Media. Earlier this year, the company appointed Danny Berkeley-Scott as Vice President, Management. Berkeley-Scott is known for representing producers including Young DZA (Cardi B) and Elias (Drake & 21 Savage).
Last year, Hallwood hired writer/producer Tal Meltzer as Vice President, A&R. Meltzer co-founded music production company Super X, and is known for his work with Fergie, Cash Cash, Julia Michaels and Lindsey Sterling.
Chris Moradi also joined the company as Senior Vice President, Promotion & Licensing in 2022, after serving 22 years at Interscope Geffen A&M Records.
Hallwood Media’s Jacobson was the long-time President of Geffen Records before exiting the UMG label in 2019 and launching Hallwood Media in 2020.
Hallwood Media started out as a producer management division under Geffen Records in 2013. Jacobson spun out the unit in 2020 when he exited the company.
Jacobson is known for representing producers and songwriters Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles), Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, Eminem) and Brendan O’Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam).
The company says it is focused on overseeing producers and engineers, artist management, and negotiating significant record-label contracts. The company’s catalog sales division represents clients including David Stewart, wil.i.am, and more.
