PRS For Music has waved goodbye to at least two senior staff members in its marketing and communications team, MBW has learnt: Chief Marketing Officer Ben Anderson (pictured) and Head Of Communications Gill Corish.

The UK collection society is believed to have downsized its central ‘mark-comms’ team, but would not confirm whether Anderson and Corish’s former roles would be axed for good.

However, it strongly denied any suggestion that the department was being dissolved.

Remaining marketing/comms staff at PRS include Media Relations Manager Olivia Chapman, Corporate Communications Manager Tania Pearson and Head Of Marketing Paul Sims.

Meanwhile, MBW understands that Andrew Provan has stepped up at PRS from Licensing Manager to Acting Head Of Recorded Media Licensing.

When contacted by MBW, a PRS spokesperson confirmed: “Ben Anderson, Chief Marketing Officer, and Gill Corish, Head of Communications, left the business in February 2015.

“Andy Hind has been appointed as Acting Head of Corporate Communications.  For all operational purposes, please contact Paul Sims, Head of Marketing, for any marketing questions and Olivia Chapman or Tania Pearson for media enquiries.”

Before joining PRS in December 2013, Anderson was Marketing Director at Fontem Ventures. He is a former VP/Global Business Leader at GlaxoSmithKline’s Aquafresh and also held senior position at drinks giant Diageo, including a spell as CEO of vodka brand Ketel One Worldwide.

Corish joined PRS in November 2013. She previously worked for Blue Rubicon, Burson Marsteller and Red Consultancy.Music Business Worldwide
