Primary Wave acquires stake in catalog of singer-songwriter Matt Redman

Primary Wave Music has acquired a stake in the income stream of the music publishing catalog of Award-winning Christian singer and songwriter, Matt Redman.

Primary Wave says the deal strengthens its position in the faith-based market following a partnership with Christian music company Gaither Music Group in 2019.

The deal also encompasses Redman’s master royalties and other rights from Redman’s entire music publishing catalog.

These songs include Build My Life, Do It Again, and the Grammy-nominated Our God, which was also nominated for Song of the Year at the 2011 Dove Awards.

The deal also includes the double Platinum record 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord), which won two Grammy Awards for ‘Best Contemporary Christian Music Song’ and ‘Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance.’

Nicholas Brown of London & Co and Roxwell’s Jeremy Rosen negotiated the deal on behalf of Matt Redman.

Since being founded in 2006, Primary Wave has built a portfolio of rights that includes music from a wide range of legends, including Whitney Houston to Ray Charles, Donny Hathaway, Bob Marley, Stevie Nicks, Burt Bacharach, Smokey Robinson, and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
