Jill Pedone is the Chief Strategy Officer of Sumerian Records, and has over 20 years of music industry experience.
Pedone joined Sumerian in February 2021, following her previous role of Head Of Creative, Label + Publishing at Lava Records where she oversaw all sync pitching efforts and A&R for both label and publishing, securing placements in film, tv and advertising for Lava Records, publishing, and catalog.
At Sumerian, she will handle in-house music supervision and licensing for Sumerian Films and Sumerian Entertainment, starting with the TV show Paradise City, the first season of which is slated to premiere on Amazon Prime in March 2021.
Pedone has been listed on Billboard’s 30 Under 30 list, and has contributed to several RIAA certified records including Cleopatra by The Lumineers, Two High by Moon Taxi and From The Fires by Greta Van Fleet.
She has also negotiated catalog signings including those of Soundgarden and Ben Harper.
Pedone has overseen numerous successful sync placements including with Moon Taxi for whom she achieved spots with Netflix’s Atypical, Jeep, BMW X5, Makers Mark and Microsoft and for Greta Van Fleet with the feature of Highway Tune in both the trailer for Academy Award nominated movie Ford vs Ferrari and the trailer for DC’s Titans Season 2.Music Business Worldwide
