Jean Nelson is a Long Island, New York native and started his music career while in high school under the tutelage of Sean “Puffy” Combs.
With Combs, Nelson brought Flava In Ya Ear hitmaker Craig Mack to Bad Boy Records.
Nelson is also a long-time business partner of Blueprint Group leader, Gee Roberson.
Nelson has served roles as SVP of A&R at Atlantic Records and Head of Urban A&R at Geffen Records.
He is presently co-CEO of BPG Music alongside Roberson.
