PeerMusic’s Kenney Shiu joins BMG in China

BMG Rights Management has appointed PeerMusic’s Kenney Shiu as its new Director in Greater China.

According to Shiu’s LinkedIn, the exec is moving over to BMG after almost a decade with Peer.

BMG is making more moves in China following its signing of a JV deal with local entertainment leader Giant Jump Entertainment in November.

Before joining Peer, Shiu worked in the music industry as part of the financial team at Rock Music Publishing (HK) Ltd. He then spent four years as the Accounting Manager at Warner Music Hong Kong.

He was hired by Peer in 2006 as General Manager of Asia Pacific and later stepped up to MD of the company’s Hong Kong office.

Shiu serves as a Board Member of the Asian Music Publishers Association (AMPS) and as a Council Member of Music Publishers Association of Hong Kong (MPAHK).Music Business Worldwide
