peermusic appoints Graciela Pechetto as Managing Director, Brazil

peermusic has appointed Graciela Pechetto as Managing Director, Brazil.

The news was announced today (June 20) by Ralph Peer, II, Chair & Chief Executive Officer, peermusic and Mary Megan Peer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, peermusic.

Current MD Manoel Pinto is retiring after 49 years with peermusic and will continue as an Advisor to the Board of peermusic Brazil.

In her new role, Pechetto will lead peermusic’s operations Brazil.

She will be based in Sao Paulo and will report to Mary Megan Peer.

“In the twenty-six years [Pechetto] has worked for peermusic, she has continuously demonstrated her talents as a publisher. We look forward to her continued leadership.”

Ralph Peer and Mary Megan Peer said: “We are delighted to promote Graciela to Managing Director of peermusic Brazil effective July 1.

“In the twenty-six years she has worked for peermusic, she has continuously demonstrated her talents as a publisher. We look forward to her continued leadership.

They added: “We also express our sincere thanks to Manoel Pinto, who is retiring after 49 years with peermusic, for his incredible service to both peermusic Brazil and the Brazilian music publishing industry.

“Manoel has led our company through a period of strong growth and has signed and nurtured many important composers including Darci Rossi, Elias Muniz, Peninha, Luiz Carlos-Raça Negra, Pinocchio and Rick.

“He has served as a director at both UBC, the performing rights society, and UBEM, the music publisher’s association. We are absolutely delighted he has agreed to continue as an Advisor to the Board of peermusic Brazil.”
