Paul Williams and Jody Gerson elected onto ASCAP Board

US songwriter/publisher body ASCAP has held its Board elections, with Paul Williams (pictured) re-elected Chairman and President of the organisation for the fourth time.

Jody Gerson, chairman and CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group, becomes a publisher Board member.

Elsewhere, Doug Wood, a composer and producer of music for TV, has been newly-elected as Writer Vice Chairman.

Irwin Z. Robinson, VP of Industry Affairs for Cromwell Music, is re-elected as Publisher Vice Chairman.

The ASCAP Board re-elected Caroline Bienstock, President and CEO of Carlin America, Inc., as Secretary.

James M. Kendrick, representing Schott Music/European American Music, was re-elected as Treasurer.
