Paul Clements to succeed Jane Dyball as CEO of the UK’s Music Publishers Association Group of companies

The UK’s Music Publishers Association (MPA) Group of Companies has hired Paul Clements as its new CEO.

He succeeds widely respected MPA CEO Jane Dyball, who announced in July that she would be stepping down from the role in the New Year.

Clements, currently Executive Director at British collection society PRS for Music, joins the MPA Group in February 2019.

In addition to being the trade association for UK music publishers, the MPA group comprises Mechanical Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) which is on course to distribute in excess of £140 million of mechanical royalties in 2018 as it completes its recovery after leaving the PRS-MCPS Alliance in 2013, and Printed Music Licensing Ltd (PMLL) which licenses the photocopying of printed music.

Paul Clements said: “I am both honoured and delighted to have been offered the role of MPA Group CEO and am looking forward to building upon the solid foundations of Jane Dyball and her team’s excellent work over the past five years.”
