Oz McGuire named VP of A&R and Business Development at Symphonic Distribution

Oz McGuire has been named VP of A&R and Business Development at Symphonic Distribution.

Also serving as the GM of its Los Angeles-based office, McGuire joins Symphonic after spending several years with independent distributor Ingrooves Music Group.

This will be Symphonic’s first executive hire following the company’s $37 million Series B investment in January of this year.

The company generated $12 million in net revenue in 2021.

At Ingrooves, McGuire was most recently Director, Label and Artist Partnerships.

The roster of labels he advised included the likes of Stones Throw, Alpha Pup and Foreign Family Collective.

As an A&R, he’s signed artists including Kelly Rowland, MF DOOM AND TOKiMONSTA.

 

He also specializes in digital marketing, having worked on records by Big Gigantic, Stick Figure and Freddie Gibbs/ Madlib.
