Drake’s done an exclusive deal with Apple Music for his new album – for a week, anyway.

Beyonce and Kanye West have delivered their latest records exclusively to TIDAL – and it’s the only place you can legally stream Prince’s full catalogue.

Meanwhile, artists ranging from Gwen Stefani to The 1975 have simply ensured their releases don’t land on Spotify in their opening days.

There’s an exclusive streaming bunfight going on out there – and now Pandora‘s getting in on the act.

The US-based streaming radio service has just released an exclusive mixtape from Young Thug; the emerging Atlanta hip-hop artist signed to Lyor Cohen‘s 300 Entertainment.

The release is related to Pandora station The ATL: Atlanta’s Hip Hop Radio, which has racked up over 130 million spins following its 2015 debut.

“Pandora Presents: THE ATL creates a seamless music experience in a way that no other platform can.”

The mixtape is also associated with an upcoming concert – Pandora Presents: The ATL – which will be headlined by Young Thug and feature performances by breakout rappers K Camp and DeJ Loaf.

That event will take place on May 5 in Atlanta at the Tabernacle, and be simulcast on Pandora.

The mixtape, curated by Young Thug, features a list of hip-hop artists connected to Atlanta including K Camp, DeJ Loaf, 2 Chainz, Ace Hood, Bankroll Fresh, Chedda Da Connect and Gucci Mane.

Discussing the Pandora Presents event, Lars Murray, SVP Music Makers Group, Pandora, said: “The hip hop audience on Pandora is enormous. Pandora Presents: The ATL creates a seamless music experience in a way that no other platform can by connecting listeners’ love of an artist or genre directly to a live experience – both in person and via livestream on Pandora.”

Born Jeffery Williams, Young Thug has graced the covers of Complex, Fader and Dazed.

2016 will see the third and final installment of his “Slime Season” trilogy, in addition to his major label debut “Hy!£UN35,” scheduled to arrive later this summer.Music Business Worldwide
