Notting Hill Music Group expands into Nashville with Ginny Johnson

UK-born Notting Hill Music Group has expanded its company’s operations into Nashville through the addition of Ginny Johnson to the company’s global team.

The move means that Notting Hill now operates three Transatlantic offices: in London, Los Angeles and Nashville.

Johnson arrived in Nashville in the early 1980’s and brings a wealth of experience from her years working for MCA Music, Capitol Records and Hamstein Music.

She has worked with respected Nashville music biz figures including Jimmy Bowen, Tanya Tucker, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Paul Worley, Jerrod Niemann, Buddy Cannon, Travis Tritt, Pam Tillis, Martina McBride, and has placed songs with artists such as Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney among many, many more.

Johnson will be responsible for building Notting Hill’s music publishing activities in Nashville with particular focus on creating songwriting opportunities for Notting Hill writers, identifying potential new additions to the roster and securing placements of the company’s songs with Nashville’s recording artists.

“Ginny brings a passion for music and a huge amount of knowledge to the role.”

Andy McQueen, Notting Hill Music

Notting Hill Group Chairman Andy McQueen said: “On a recent visit to Nashville we realised just how vibrant a music city Nashville has now become and how vital it was for us to find the right person to establish the Notting Hill brand in this wonderful city.

“Ginny came to us highly recommended by people we really respect and having got to know her properly I can fully understand why.

“She brings a passion for music and a huge amount of knowledge to the role and we are absolutely thrilled that she has chosen to join us”.
