Def Jam Recordings has announced that Senior Vice President of Urban Promotion Natina Nimene now adds Artist Relations to her portfolio.
Nimene will be managing talent opportunities across a broad spectrum of media, including radio, podcasts, community and philanthropic endeavors, and networks like BET, MTV, Revolt and Fuse.
In her expanded role, Nimene will act as a liaison for core Def Jam artists like Teyana Taylor, YG, Big Sean, Jeezy, 2 Chainz, and more.
Natina Nimene has been an influential figure in hip-hop culture for almost 15 years and has been a cornerstone of the urban promotion department at Def Jam for the past eight.
A Billboard ‘Women In Music’ and ‘40 Under 40’ Honoree, and recognized by her industry peers as a Culture Creators Honoree and a Hits “Noisemaker”, Nimene was recently named to the advisory board of the National Museum of African American Music, and is a key member of UMG’s Task Force for Meaningful Change.
“Her experience, network and instincts are so important to what we’re trying to do as a company. This promotion and expansion of her role is beyond well-deserved.”
