Natina Nimene promoted to Senior Vice President of Urban Promotion & Artist Relations at Def Jam Recordings

Def Jam Recordings has announced that Senior Vice President of Urban Promotion Natina Nimene now adds Artist Relations to her portfolio.

Nimene will be managing talent opportunities across a broad spectrum of media, including radio, podcasts, community and philanthropic endeavors, and networks like BET, MTV, Revolt and Fuse.

In her expanded role, Nimene will act as a liaison for core Def Jam artists like Teyana Taylor, YG, Big Sean, Jeezy, 2 Chainz, and more.

Natina Nimene has been an influential figure in hip-hop culture for almost 15 years and has been a cornerstone of the urban promotion department at Def Jam for the past eight.

A Billboard ‘Women In Music’ and ‘40 Under 40’ Honoree, and recognized by her industry peers as a Culture Creators Honoree and a Hits “Noisemaker”, Nimene was recently named to the advisory board of the National Museum of African American Music, and is a key member of UMG’s Task Force for Meaningful Change.
