Natalie Waller elected Chair of Australia’s ARIA

Natalie Waller, Head of ABC Music & Events, has been elected Chair of The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), for a two-year term, effective immediately.

Waller replaces Denis Handlin, the former Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia & New Zealand, who exited the company, and his position on the Board at ARIA, last month.

Waller has been a member of the ARIA Board since February 2019 and joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1998 in the ABC Music business team.  She was appointed to her current role in 2012 and has worked across many genres within ABC Music and also works with ABC music brands, including triple j.

She currently holds the position as Vice Chair of the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA), was appointed to the Board of the Country Music Association (CMA) in January 2021 and is Chair of the CMA Australian Task Force.
