Music Business UK and Centtrip Music Present: The Legal & Accountancy 50

Music Business UK is launching an exciting new project in the British marketplace in partnership with global payments and currency specialists Centtrip Music.

The Legal & Accountancy 50 will recognise professional excellence in two of the most vital service areas for artists in the UK industry.

The book, launching this summer, will act not only as a run-down of the biggest achievers in both fields – but also as an essential reference guide for artists and managers looking to work with the best operators in the business.

The Legal & Accountancy 50 will be voted for by a widespread panel of over 75 of the UK’s most influential artist managers. They cast their picks based on the competency and performance of individual accountants and lawyers over the past 12 months.

Longstanding financial and legal leaders in the market will also be invited to cast their confidential votes on the individuals they consider to be the finest practitioners working in the UK today.

In addition to profiles on the accountants and lawyers featuring in the list, the Legal & Accountancy 50 will also contain a directory with details of each company they work for – all contributing to what will become a year-round, A-Z almanac for artist managers.

“Accountants and lawyers work so diligently to look after artists and managers: the best in the field deserve widespread recognition and new business.”

The Legal & Accountancy 50 will be sent to over a thousand music businesses across Britain, Ireland and beyond, as well as featuring digitally on Music Business Worldwide in front of 200,000+ monthly readers.

To ensure you get your hands on a physical copy, please email with your name and business address before March 30.

“Lawyers and accountants might be the most under-sung professionals working in the British industry today, but their importance to artists and their representatives in an ever-more complex business is paramount,” said Music Business UK founder Tim Ingham.

“When Centtrip Music approached us with the idea of recognising and celebrating excellence in these fields it made perfect sense. We want to create a genuinely useful and trusted resource for artist managers everywhere, which concisely presents the gold standard in legal and accountancy professionals.”

Centtrip Music was founded to make global payments and currency services fairer and more transparent for the music industry.

“I have attended numerous music awards and each time I could not help but think that there were certain sectors in the business whose work was being overlooked,” said Tony North, CEO of Centtrip Music.

“Accountants and lawyers work so diligently to look after artists and managers, and the best in their field deserve widespread recognition – particularly the sort of widespread recognition that leads to new business.”
