Muni Long partners with Def Jam Recordings via Supergiant Records label

Muni Long (Priscilla Renea), who has been reported to be one of 2022’s most hotly-sought-after artists amongst major record companies in the United States, has partnered with Def Jam Recordings through her Supergiant Records label.

The partnership was announced today (March 22) by Def Jam chairman & CEO Tunji Balogun, who personally oversaw the signing.

Co-managed by Rashad Tyler and Chris Anokute, Muni Long’s platinum breakthrough smash Hrs & Hrs has racked up over 150 million streams, peaking in the Top 5 at Apple Music, No.17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and now sitting at No.3 at Urban radio and hitting the Top 10 at Rhythm radio.

To date, Hrs and Hrs has reached No.1 across-the-board everywhere from Billboard’s R&B Streaming Songs and Emerging Artists charts, to Apple Music and iTunes’ R&B Singles charts, to Spotify’s US Viral 50, and Global Viral 50.

The video was the No.1 R&B Video at Apple Music, and Top 3 on the US Shazam Chart and over 1.3 Million TikTok videos have been created, a number that is growing daily.

Muni Long is also a 2022 Grammy-nominated writer for her work on H.E.R.’s Back of My Mind album (the track entitled Process).

Muni Long has been named to iHeart Radio’s ‘On The Verge’ program, BET Amplified Artist of the Month for April, YouTube’s Artist On The Rise, Spotify Frequency Artist, Snapchat Artist to Watch, and Amazon Breakthrough Artist of the Month.

Def Jam says that Muni Long spent a decade as “one of the best-kept behind-the-curtain secret weapons in the industry” as an in-demand songwriter with the likes of Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, and Selena Gomez, to name a few.

The EP, Public Displays Of Affection was released November 2021 through her own record label, Supergiant Records, and immediately became a Top 10 Apple Music R&B Album.
