After attracting over 1 million viewers to its inaugural SelectCon virtual conference in July, independent artist distribution platform UnitedMasters has announced the dates and first speakers for its second edition.

The event is aimed at being a resource for independent artists and will stream live on December 9 and 10.

Joining UnitedMasters Founder & CEO Steve Stoute on the lineup are entertainment attorneys, execs from Live Nation, Google, ESPN, and Shopify, artists like Rapsody, Tobe Nwigwe, Bun B, and Mr. Eazi (pictured) and industry leaders like Kevin ‘Coach K’ Lee, with more to be announced.

UnitedMasters, which launched a new subscription tier in July that allows acts to keep 100% of their royalties from digital services, claims to have seen a 344% increase in artists on its platform since the start of 2020.

In August TikTok inked a deal with UnitedMasters that will see a full integration between both services directly through the TikTok app. The company has also secured partnerships with brands like ESPN, Twitch, CashApp, NBA2k and more.

The conference will focus on forecasting trends for how music, technology, industry and creativity will evolve in 2021 and beyond.

In partnership with Twitch, the lineup includes everything from leading entertainment attorneys who will talk through what a good record deal looks like, while executives from YouTube, Soundcloud, and Pandora will discuss the future of music curation and playlisting.

Additionally, execs from LiveNation, Genius, and Rolling Loud will break down the monetization of virtual shows, while Splice will be hosting a conversation on collaboration in a pandemic.

Elsewhere at the virtual conference, artists including UnitedMasters’ breakout star Tobe Nwigwe will be speaking.

The full lineup of speakers, panelists, and performers will be announced over the coming days.

The conference will be streamed on Twitch and here.
