Ministry Of Sound switches digital distribution from Sony DADC to FUGA

Netherlands-based digital music distribution and services company FUGA has signed a new worldwide distribution deal with Ministry of Sound.

The agreement will see FUGA handle content management and global digital distribution for Ministry’s complete catalogue of 20,000 tracks, with immediate effect.

FUGA previously handled Ministry’s digital services from 2010-2014, when Ministry moved its digital contract to Sony DADC.

That, though, was to be a short-lived relationship: Ministry is now back with FUGA, which also works with the likes of Spinnin’ Records, Armada Music, Epitaph Records, Ninja Tune, Hospital Records, Essential Music & Marketing and Ultra Records.

Ministry last month scored a UK No.1 single (and a No.2 in the Netherlands) with Sigala’s Easy Love.

Eddie Jones, Ministry of Sound’s Sales Director commented: “We have always found FUGA to be a very reliable and professional digital partner, we are looking forward to working with them again over the coming years.”

FUGA’s CEO, Pieter Van Rijn added: “We are very happy to be welcoming back Ministry of Sound to our roster and look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with their fantastic team.”

FUGA’s technology platform offers labels, aggregators and distributors tools to handle content management, distribution, aggregation, analytics and royalty accounting.

Connected to over 260 digital service providers worldwide, FUGA looks after over 1.8 million tracks, with up to 2.5 million track deliveries a month.Music Business Worldwide
