Warner Records has promoted Miles Gersh to Executive Vice President of A&R, after spending the past six years building the label’s artist roster.

Gersh, who joined the company in 2019, is best known for working with country artist Zach Bryan. Prior to his promotion, he served as VP, A&R for Warner Records since 2022.

He will continue reporting to Warner Records Group CEO & Co-Chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck and work alongside EVP and Head of A&R Karen Kwak and Gregg Nadel, President of A&R for the Warner Records Group. He remains based in Los Angeles, according to a press release on Tuesday (April 7).

Gersh first introduced Bryan to Bay-Schuck and the label in 2020 following the success of the artist’s albums, DeAnn and Elisabeth.

Bryan then signed to Warner Records in 2021 and topped the US album and singles charts in 2023 with his self-titled album, Zach Bryan, and the Grammy Award-winning megahit I Remember Everything feat. Kacey Musgraves.

In 2024, the artist’s The Great American Bar Scene placed 17 tracks on the Billboard Hot 100, and in 2025, Bryan set a new record for the highest-attended ticketed concert in US history. with his Michigan Stadium show that attracted 112,408 fans.

Bryan’s most recent release, With Heaven on Top, debuted on top of the Billboard 200, marking his second No. 1 on the chart.

Beyond Bryan, Gersh has been involved in developing rising talents including bunii, IShowSpeed, Maddox Batson, and CJ, as well as Detroit rapper Veeze, whose collaborations with Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty have charted on the Hot 100.

Before Warner, Gersh started his music career in 2018 at 12Tone Music, the label founded by music industry veteran Doug Morris.

The appointment marks the latest across the wider Warner Music Group. In February, WMG appointed Wan Yin Koh as Vice President, Business Development, Digital at Warner Chappell Music Asia Pacific.

In January, WMG appointed Hannah Karp as EVP & Chief Communications Officer, following a decade at Billboard. She succeeded James Steven, who, after serving as Chief Communications Officer at WMG for the past 10 years, was appointed by Universal Music Group as Executive Vice President & Chief Communications Officer at UMG.

In December, A&R veteran Craig Kallman was named Chief Music Officer at WMG, while Eric Wong was promoted to EVP, Recorded Music.
