Mike Sherwood joins Capitol Music Group as EVP of Global Commercial Marketing and Strategy

Mike Sherwood has been appointed Executive Vice President of Global Commercial Marketing & Strategy for Capitol Music Group (CMG).

Sherwood will report to General Manager and EVP of CMG, Larry Mattera, and will be based in Hollywood.

In his new position, Sherwood will lead CMG’s commercial and Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) marketing strategies, while working to maximize the company’s income through these revenue streams.

He will directly interface with all of CMG’s digital and physical partners on frontline releases, says CMG, and will work closely with Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) to amplify the performance of CMG’s catalogue.

Sherwood was previously Senior Vice President, Revenue & Commercial Accounts, at Warner Records.
