Attendance at Midem 2014 was down 4% year-on-year, according to organisers.
6,150 people attended the trade show in Cannes, France this year – down from an attendee figure of 6,400 in 2013.
In 2013, the event’s attendees were down 7%, while 2012’s show reported a year-on-year rise of 2%. In 2001, there were 10,000 delegates at Midem.
Midem director Bruno Crolot said 2014’s numbers represented a “slight decrease” in visitors from France, Germany and Southern Europe, but a growth in attendees from other international markets such as Japan and Australia.Music Business Worldwide
