MBW is launching a new interview series, Trailblazers, supported by Believe

Music Business Worldwide is launching a new monthly interview series, Trailblazers, which will be supported by Believe.

Trailblazers will turn the spotlight on exciting music entrepreneurs making waves in their local market, and who might making a global impact very soon.

This series will take pride in featuring fast-rising business people (and very smart thinkers) in multiple territories around the world – from North America to Latin America, Europe to Asia-Pacific, Africa and beyond.

Each interviewee will share their experience of building an independent music company, and the lessons they have learned in their journey so far.

Look out for our first interview in the series with Luis Sanchez – the CEO and founder of Mexico-based record label, AfinArte – coming soon.

AfinArte has artists on its roster with many millions of streams, with a particularly strong presence in regional Mexican music.

Discussing his company’s support of the Trailblazers series, Believe founder and CEO, Denis Ladegaillerie, said: “We believe the future of music lies in a new generation of local superstars – it’s all going to be about regional powerhouses taking over.

“With local experts across 50 countries, Believe’s aim is to continuously source and develop the kind of local talents you will soon hear of in MBW’s Trailblazers series.

“I am excited to give the floor to some of the most inspiring and forward-thinking entrepreneurs in many different and unique global markets, with whom we share a common vision to shape the music industry of tomorrow.”

MBW founder, Tim Ingham, said: “Just as tomorrow’s global streaming hits can come from anywhere around the world, so too can the most exciting music industry entrepreneurs of the future.

“I’m particularly excited for MBW’s Trailblazers, supported by Believe, because there are literally no boundaries to this series. Whether an indie entrepreneur is starting to making noise in the United States or Uruguay, Nigeria or Nepal, we want to showcase their story.

“Thanks to the Trailblazers series, don’t be surprised if the world’s next game-changing music entrepreneur appears on MBW’s pages – before you hear about them anywhere else.”
