Maxim Vlasov named Managing Director of Universal Music Russia

Maxim Vlasov, Managing Director, Universal Music Russia

Maxim Vlasov has been hired as Managing Director, Universal Music Russia, effective immediately.

The appointment marks a return to the company for Vlasov, who had held the position of Executive Director, Universal Music Russia until 2019.

Vlasov’s predecessor Dmitry Konnov has left the company “amicably and by mutual agreement”, according to a release announcing the news.

 

He re-joins the company from Russian football team FC Spartak Moscow, where he held the position of COO.

An experienced executive, he has previously held positions at Walt Disney Company and Olympus.

At Universal Music Russia, he will be responsible for strengthening relationships with artists and partners, alongside the continued development and growth of UMG operations within Russia in the future.

Vlasov will be based in Moscow and will report to Frank Briegmann, Chairman & CEO, Universal Music Central Europe and Deutsche Grammophon.
