Martin Moulton named GM of Arising Artist

Arising Artist has announced the appointment of former Sony BMG exec and music marketing veteran Martin Moulton to the position of General Manager.

The company – a consultancy network that offers skills and expertise from music industry professionals to aspiring artists and music businesses – is a division of online entertainment retailer specialist The Tunetribe Entertainment Group.

Moulton will report directly to Tunetribe Entertainment Group and Arising Artist CEO William Haighton. His appointment is effective immediately.

Moulton has over 15 years experience in senior music industry marketing positions, specialising in hip-hop and R&B music.

His roles have included a nine-year stint at Sony BMG where he oversaw campaigns for artists such as Whitney Houston, Usher and the entire Bad Boy Entertainment roster.

Moulton also spent time at TVT Records as Urban Product Manager.

Employed by TVT US, he helped set up the UK office and was responsible for successful campaigns for the likes of Lil Jon and Pitbull among others.

Arising Artist consultants offer artists and businesses flexible help on the basis ranging from a one hour session right through to a full campaign.

It network of expertise covers A&R, legal, accounting, publicity, plugging, music publishing, marketing, digital, management, production and more.
