Mark Ronson reworks another Minder Music song for new single

Mark Ronson has reworked the classic 1970s recording In A Broken Dream by Python Lee Jackson feat. Rod Stewart.

Minder Music’s associated company New Songs Administration Ltd owns both Master and Publishing rights to the song.

The new track will be released as Everyday by A$AP Rocky feat. Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson on Sony/RCA.

The news comes less than a fortnight after Minder Music was reported to have made a successful claim against Ronson and Bruno Mars smash hit Uptown Funk.

The No.1 track now credits the team behind The Gap Band’s Oops Up Side Your Head as co-writers: Ronnie Wilson, Charles Wilson and Robert Wilson, plus producers Rudolph Taylor and Lonnie Simmons.

In A Broken Dream reached No.3 in the UK charts in 1972 on the Young Blood label. The rights were subsequently acquired by the Minder Group in the 1980s.

Said Minder founder John Fogarty: “Mark has brought an exciting new slant on his reworking of this great song and recording. Plus he is an absolute gentleman to deal with”.
