Marcus Grant promoted to Senior Vice President, Digital Commerce at Def Jam Recordings

Highly-respected industry veteran Marcus Grant has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Digital Commerce at Def Jam Recordings.

The news was announced today (December 3) by Theda Sandiford, Senior Vice President, Commerce and Digital Marketing.

In this senior executive role, Grant will continue his focus on streaming strategy, consumption growth, and marketing opportunities within the streaming eco-system.

Based in Los Angeles, he will report directly to Sandiford.

Grant has served as Vice President, Digital Commerce since 2016.

He joined the label after three years at TwentyThreeTwelve Management, which he founded and owned. Among his clients there were multi-platinum acts Toni Braxton and Big Boi.

Prior to that, he spent five years as Manager at The Collective, starting in 2008, handling a roster that included Braxton, Big Boi, Kelly Rowland, and Chamillionaire.

He began his music career in 2001 as Manager at The Firm, working with 112, Maxwell, Dru Hill, and Sisqo.

Grant is an active member of many charities, including the committee for City Of Hope, the Music Industry Fights Cancer.
