Manuel Martos has been appointed General Manager, Virgin Music Label & Artist Services Spain, effective immediately.
He will be based in Madrid and reports directly to Victor González, President, Virgin Music Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula.
Virgin Music Label & Artist Services Spain is a division of Universal Music Group‘s Virgin Music Label & Artist Services, which was launched globally in February.
Manuel Martos has served as Universal Music Spain’s Artistic Director since 2017.
Prior to that, he enjoyed a long professional career in music, with experience as an artist, composer, artistic producer and executive, advisor, music consultant, artistic coordinator for leading local music festivals and advertising campaigns for brands, whilst achieving highly outstanding work in each of these fields.
Earlier this year, Virgin Music Label & Artist Services Spain announced its first strategic partnership with Metales Preciosos, a new record label launched by highly respected music executive José Carlos “Charlie” Sanchez.
In March, Virgin Music US Latin signed a global distribution partnership with Rebeleon Entertainment, founded by multi-award winning producer Sebastian Krys (winner of 6 Grammys & 12 Latin Grammys).
