Louis Brown and Raju Watts join The Other Songs as General Manager and Financial Director

London-born independent music and entertainment company The Other Songs has appointed Louis Brown as General Manager and Raju Watts as Financial Director.

The hires come as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to scale its operations and support a growing roster of artists, songwriters, and catalogs.

Commenting on today’s news, founders Alastair and Billy Webber said: “Raju and Louis joining The Other Songs is without doubt the biggest coup of this summer’s transfer window in music.

“Both are natural entrepreneurs with sharp commercial instincts, expanding our knowledge, strengthening our foundations and elevating our already exceptional team.”

Brown brings over a decade of experience across major and independent music sectors. He began his career at Island Records, rising to senior digital and marketing roles and contributing to campaigns for artists including Disclosure and Mumford & Sons.

At Universal Music, Brown helped develop the talent discovery platform Spinnup UK, facilitating multiple artist signings. He subsequently managed independent labels such as Metropolis and served as COO & GM at NQ, overseeing Top 40 releases across the UK, Germany, and Australia, and partnerships with The Orchard and Sony.

Watts joins with more than 20 years of experience in financial strategy and operational leadership across music, entertainment, and media. His previous roles include Finance Director at Island Records, Finance & Commercial Director at Decca Records and Publishing, and CFO at Ministry of Sound Group, where he contributed to the $100m sale of Ministry of Sound Recordings to Sony Music.

He has also held positions at Publicis, College Hill Associates, and independent labels Underwater Records and Southern Fried.
