Lou Al-Chamaa appointed SVP, Head of A&R Publishing at Avex USA

Avex USA has named Lou Al-Chamaa as SVP, Head of A&R Publishing.

Al-Chamaa joins Avex USA’s publishing division, and was part of the signing team recently responsible for landing hitmaker Jasper Harris.

Al-Chamaa spent six years at Sony Music Publishing as Vice President of A&R where he signed and worked with clients such as Mike Posner, Lucky Daye, Daniel Caesar, Khalid, Louis Bell, Tori Kelly, Lindgren (BTS) and more.

He was also the A&R for Noah Cyrus during her July / End Of Everything EP achieving over 1 billion streams for RECORDS/Columbia music labels.

According to Avex, Al-Chamaa then moved on as an executive catalog consultant, sourcing and advising on the acquisitions of publishing catalogs including Calvin Harris, Sean Douglas (Demi Lovato/Dua Lipa/Thomas Rhett), Ricky Reed (Lizzo/Maroon 5), Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes/Florida Georgia Line) and others.

AVEX USA Publishing represents writers including J. Que(Joji / Die For You), Will Jay (Royal & the Serpent / overwhelmed), Xansei(XG / SHOOTING STAR) and, through its joint venture with Brandon Silverstein Publishing, Justin Bieber’s close collaborator and Grammy nominated producer HARV, hitmaker Jasper Harris, Jamaica’s global star Shenseea, The Kid LAROI’s collaborator Cxdy from “Internet Money”, Bella Poarch’s Build A Bitch co-writer David Arkwright, Curtis Waters’ Stunnin producer Declan Hoy, and KOSA (the songwriter & producer behind massive hits with RVSSIAN, Lil Baby, Future, Bad Bunny, Travis Scott and more).
